If we had a nickel for every time we said or heard someone else say “what a perfect day for a wedding” – we would be very rich! This truly was a PERFECT day. The forecast called for rain, but a passing sun shower right after Rima put on her dress was the only rain of the day. John might argue that it was a tad bit too hot (our first groom to stop in the middle of the ceremony to ask if we could photoshop out sweat), but as far as everything else was concerned – absolutely perfect.
We knew right after meeting John & Rima that we would LOVE working with them. Rima has this sweetness about her….you really can’t help but love her. John was known around the office for his fashion (most of our grooms to be don’t come in dressed half as sharp as he was when he came in to the office).
Their day was filled with personal touches – our favorites had to be the Lithuanian traditions since we had not seen the traditional blessing before. Rima’s brother had made “Krupnikas” a traditional lituanian liquor and her mom gave a beautiful blessing complete with bread, salt, and wine.
We must give a shout to Julie Dunfey Catering Co. – because we are sure that ALL the guests would agree that their food had to be some of the MOST delicious wedding food.
Then, we can not forget to mention the dancing! The minute that DJ Max Baun started spinning on his turn tables the whole reception was up and dancing. And we aren’t talking just going through the motions – we mean DANCING – some of the best we have seen.
The icing on the cake was a beautiful HUGE orange moon that rose up over the ocean. It couldn’t have been any more beautiful.
John & Rima – we wish you nothing but the best. Thank you so much for choosing us to document your day.
