A professional photography session with Eye Sugar is custom-tailored to fit you and your needs. Your session will be relaxed and fun. My style is a little bit posed but then I will toss it up with some candids. Don’t worry! I will walk you through each of the poses, and the goal is to show you being you! I hope to capture the true personality of my clients.
Your session can take place at the studio, one of my favorite locations, or at your home if desired. By reviewing the location guide, you can select the location that works best for you! I choose areas that offer visual texture and gorgeous settings that get the best lighting. When choosing a location, it is best to factor in your needs, desires, and goals for your images so that your location and clothing fit your home style perfectly.
There are a few time options available for your session, one is a mini session which is 20-30 minutes, a custom session which is 45-60 minutes, a deluxe that is 1.5 hours and itty bitties are limited events that are a quick 10-minute session.
Upon booking your session, you will be provided access to the client lounge where you are provided with tips on what to wear or bring for your session. You will also be set up with a client portal where you can access the questionnaires, invoices, and other client needs.
Your ordering will take place online, with a special gallery that has options for prints, digitals, canvases, albums, and more. It is an easy process that allows family and friends to log in and select their choices as well.
The timeline for your gallery is generally 5-7 days, and your gallery is live for one week. Your order will be processed quickly and can be turned around in 2-4 weeks depending on the season. Quality is the top concern and we use the finest professional lab in the country. By all means, if you need a rush order, please let us know; we may be able to work some magic.
For those of you shooting in the studio, it is a comfy little homey cottage on private property. The studio has three different wood wall options; dark wood, distressed gray and white wall, and bright white. I have custom-painted backdrops in many color options for those who like a painted look. The studio has plenty of props, hair accessories, and clothing accessories. For newborns, the studio is stocked with HUNDREDS of blankets/wraps and more to make your sets artistic and custom just for you. There is a play area for kids to warm up, stay occupied and just have fun!

You can book your session online, once we have your session fee payment, the spot is yours.
Dates available for the upcoming months are selected in advance but if necessary I can add an extra date.
Real. Fun. Genuine. I’m funny, I promise. I will put you in the place I want to shoot and then ask you to do things…some funny, some serious, but all real. I want to capture you and capture your joy and love. There will be poses, but then there will be the real quality within the pose. I hope to capture the giggles, and if there is a child meltdown, I will snap that too. It may even be a favorite.
I have favorite outdoor locations that I like to shoot that maximize the beautiful light, textured layers of grasses, stone, wood, etc. I have favorites because I know in those spots I can offer you many looks that are completely different. I have a favorite beach, country, city look, and more. You will be able to pick from our locations pdf which spot is your favorite. There is also the studio which has many options to choose from.
A buffer is scheduled around your shoot. To maximize light and offer several families to shoot at a specific location on that day, there may be a session booked before or after you. I will do my best to accommodate but if you are more than 15 minutes late and it will run into another shoot, I will have to move you to either a different time or day. Please do your best to show up early, have kids changed and fed, and be ready to shoot at your shoot time. Remember to factor in travel times and traffic. If I am running late due to another session, I will do my best to communicate this. It may mean your shoot could start 10 minutes late but I promise to give you your full session time. I always have extra time scheduled into the evening to accomodate the lighting and in case things are running over.
Your images will be available within a week to view in your online gallery. Most of the time it is just a few days, but I like to provide a buffer just in case life gets in the way.
If the weather is not cooperating, I will talk with you in advance to reschedule. If you need to reschedule for illness or other life events, I ask for advance notice. If you cancel the second rescheduled session without advanced notice of 2 days, you will forfeit your session fee. Weekend sessions are in higher demand, a last-minute weekend rescheduling may require you to schedule your next session on a weekday.
Your session fee covers your session only. Unless you choose an all-inclusive package, your session fee is for the time at your shoot. You can select your purchasing needs from the online gallery. Your online gallery has the best of the best images from your session. Choose as many as you like, as many different images as you wish.
Once you are booked, you will receive a password to access the client portal that has a what-to-wear guide and tips for how to prepare.
Once your purchase the images you would like, I will edit them within one week's time (often sooner) and then they will be available in a proofing gallery. Once I have your final approval, your digital files will be uploaded quickly for you to download or if you have ordered prints, they will be sent to the lab for printing. The turnaround for prints to be printed, shipped to the studio for packaging and then mailed to you can take up to 14 business days. Albums are designed within a one-week period, with proofing and revisions happening within days. Once approved, your album will be to you within two weeks. Canvases are proofed and sent to the lab, the printing and shipping process can take up to 14 business days.
