Hair, Nails, and Make-up

In case you are in need of a cut or color, you should plan this for 1-2 weeks prior to your session...just in case you don’t like it, it has time to tame itself! Don't forget a fresh shave for all the areas you would like bare.

I personally recommend a little oomph to your hair. This can be done with dry shampoo or hair spray with a little bit of teasing. A light wave looks great to add texture and fullness to your hair. The hairstyle that I say to stay away from is an up-do. This can be done for a set at the end if you want but I would definitely not use it for all of your looks. I can send you some links on easy hair waves that take very little effort and look great.

Don't forget to remove any old nail polish and either have clean/clear nails or fresh polish.

Your make-up doesn't need to be over the top. You will have air-brushing on your selected images, so you don't have to go crazy. A little heavier eye than normal in terms of mascara looks great and some lip gloss is the perfect touch. Avoid sparkle lotion and glitter on your face as it tends to look like sweat on camera.

DO'S

Bring a bra and panty set for a backup under a chemise/nighty

Bring lotion for your skin and drink plenty of water in the days before your shoot

Bring lots of options if you are unsure, I would love to help pick through to get you the best options

Wear something loose and comfy to your shoot

Wear a light layer of makeup and clean your nails and don't forget to bring your lip gloss/stick

Bring dry shampoo to thicken your hair and give it oomph

Bring accessories and shoe options

DONT'S

Do not bring wrinkled or dirty clothing to wear for your sets

Do not wear tight socks or other clothing that may leave lines on your skin on the way to your shoot

Do not wear clothing that is too tight and unflattering

Do not cut your hair the day of (or even the day before your session)

Avoid sun bathing for the few days prior to your shoot...the lobster look is not sexy

Don't forget your props if you intended to bring anything for a set
